The “Loving Acceptance” nature mandala is made with a very special rose that grows wild throughout New England called Rosa rugosa. Rose has an affinity for the heart and the qualities of love, openness, and healing.

Mindfulness is a particular form of meditation where a person practices paying attention and noticing their present moment experience without judgement. Nature mandala art in particular, both the practice of creating it and focusing one’s attention on this visual art form is a mindfulness mediation practice.

Uncertainty elicits thoughts and feelings of doubt, unpredictability, and disquiet. In early 2020, when COVID-19 took root and spread across the globe, the illusion of certainty and predictability quickly unraveled.

In many traditions of the world, there is a belief and philosophy that everything is connected. Connection is a relationship.

Gratitude is a quality or state of being. It is being thankful. It is an act of showing appreciation and returning kindness. Gratitude evokes feelings of appreciation, thankfulness, gratefulness, and thanksgiving. 

I created the “Intentions” nature mandala as a Winter Solstice blessing to welcome the return of the light. This mandala is an invitation to experience stillness, go inward, spend time reflecting and to set a vision for the year ahead.
